This Privacy Policy explains how AEOlab ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, audits, tools, and account features.
Information we collect
When you use AEOlab, we collect information needed to run audits, create your account, and improve the service.
- Account details such as your email address, name, and authentication credentials.
- Website URLs you submit for auditing or monitoring, plus audit results, prompts, competitors, and related metadata.
- Visitor signals from the optional tracking snippet on sites you connect (page path, query string, referrer, and user-agent). We do not store visitor IP addresses.
- Waitlist details if you join before creating an account (name, email, and company URL).
- Usage data such as pages visited and features used, if you accept analytics cookies.
- Technical logs generated by our servers for security, debugging, and reliability.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the service. This includes running audits, saving reports, operating dashboards, processing subscriptions, communicating with you about your account, and protecting against abuse or unauthorized access.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted infrastructure and service providers to operate the product. These providers process data on our behalf.
- Supabase — authentication and PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting and AI Gateway for visibility checks. Prompt text, your domain, and competitor names are sent through Vercel AI Gateway when you run a check. Optional Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights if you accept analytics cookies.
- Polar — subscription billing and customer portal.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember theme preference. Optional analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics, Speed Insights, and our first-party visit tracker on aeolab.app) run only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can control cookies through your browser settings; turning off essential cookies will prevent sign-in from working.
Data retention
We retain account and audit data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can export or delete your account from Profile Settings. We may retain certain records longer when required for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold about you. Export and delete are available in Profile Settings. You can also email hello@aeolab.app.
Children
AEOlab is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
